I don’t have anything interesting to say to wrap up my day. Um, my dad made some awesome soup, then I watched the Olympics and Criminal Minds. Tomorrow I have to go to school, then I have Tuesday and Wednesday off (HELL YEAH) and I will probably end up laying around doing nothing. Fun week.
I am definitely the best birthday card maker in the whole world.
I put great effort into them (I just went to two different stores to get everything I needed for this one), and people look forward to my cards. Because they’re huge, colorful, and obnoxious, and filled with nonsense. But really, I’m proud of every single one I make.
First, in English, I got a worksheet about The Secret Life of Bees that was asking me to look up some terms about the era to get background on the story. One of the things it told me to find a definition for was “The Beatles.” I actually started laughing out loud. Nobody understood how funny this was to me. A definition for the Beatles?…….. I DREW A GIANT SMILEY FACE.
Next, during lunch, I happened to look up from my food, and directly across me in the cafeteria, I saw Paul McCartney’s face. No lies. This kid I know was wearing an old tour shirt, but I literally did not see any of the surrounding people, chairs, tables, etc, only Paul’s head and ridiculous facial expression bobbing along the cafeteria mattered. Once again, I died in hysterics. Once again, nobody else thought it was funny.
Hang on, I’m going to try to find the picture that was on that shirt, because it was freaking hilarious.
Valerie, you must tell me where you got that photo you posted! The one of Dirk and Kaman. I need to save that to my computer...thanks!
Haha, I actually got it via Steve Nash’s twitter! He posted it on there earlier today. I don’t know if you have a twitter or not (I have one but don’t use it, haha), but you can just search his name and his page should come up. :)
